Feldberg is well reachable by car from all directions. In winter, snow chains are recommended — from November onwards, all vehicles should be on winter tyres.
From Freiburg (45 min, 50 km)
- B31 toward Donaueschingen
- In Hinterzarten / Titisee-Neustadt → B317 toward Feldberg
- In Feldberg → Brünneleweg (turn right at the Bärental town sign)
From Basel (1 h, 90 km)
- A98 toward Waldshut-Tiengen
- Exit Bad Säckingen → B500 toward Feldberg
- Continue via Schluchsee to Feldberg-Bärental
From Zurich (1.5 h, 130 km)
- A3 toward Basel
- At Basel onto A98 toward Waldshut-Tiengen
- Continue as from Basel
From Stuttgart (2.5 h, 230 km)
- A81 toward Singen
- Exit Geisingen → B31 toward Donaueschingen → Titisee

By train
The nearest station is Feldberg-Bärental (Dreiseenbahn). From the station it is 5 minutes' walk to the apartment.
- From Freiburg: Höllentalbahn → Titisee → Dreiseenbahn to Bärental (1 h)
- From Karlsruhe / Stuttgart: ICE to Freiburg, then as above
- From Basel: RE Basel → Freiburg, then as above
- From Amsterdam: ICE Amsterdam → Frankfurt → Basel → Freiburg → Titisee → Bärental (8-9 h total)
Tip: with the Hochschwarzwald-Card (free for our guests at booking) all public transport in the region is included — buses and the Dreiseenbahn.
By bus
From Bärental station buses run directly to the Feldberg ski area and surrounding villages (Schluchsee, Titisee, Hinterzarten). The ski bus is free in winter for overnight guests with the Hochschwarzwald-Card.
By plane
The nearest airports:
- EuroAirport Basel/Mulhouse (BSL/MLH/EAP) — 1 h drive, best European connection
- Zurich Kloten (ZRH) — 1.5 h drive
- Stuttgart (STR) — 2.5 h drive
- Frankfurt (FRA) — 3 h drive
A rental car pays off if you want to travel regionally. Without a car: train from the airport works (see above).
Parking on site
Free private parking directly at the building — no charge, no reservation needed. One parking space per apartment guaranteed.
Winter season notes
- November to April: winter tyres mandatory
- Snow chains recommended in heavy snowfall, but rarely strictly necessary — the B317 is well cleared
- On weekends in January/February: arrive early (before 10 AM) or late (after 4 PM) to avoid ski traffic
- In storm warnings: the Höllental drive between Freiburg and Titisee can be closed — plan an alternative route via Schluchsee
